Through the ‘Landscape Unions’ the mechanisms of politics are subverted as a symbolic gesture of power and ownership. ‘Landscape’ by its nature cannot be pined down in terms of ownership in the same way that ‘land’ can. It belongs to the viewer and doesn’t at the same time.
